Job summary

HKT, a leading technology and telecommunications provider in Hong Kong, seeks a senior insurance professional to support the Assistant Vice President of Group Insurance. You will advise on risk exposure, manage complex claims, review contracts, and drive annual policy renewals across the group's insurance portfolio.

The role requires strong financial acumen, expert negotiation, and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Finance, or a related discipline.
ACII, ANZIIF or equivalent qualifications are highly preferred.
5–10 years of corporate insurance or risk management experience, ideally in a large enterprise.
Strong numerical skills with ability to model budgets and assess cost–risk trade‑offs.
Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
Fluency in English and Chinese (including Mandarin).

Responsibilities

Advise business units on insurance risk exposure, coverage strategies, and claims management.
Independently evaluate and negotiate insurance contract terms to safeguard assets.
Communicate with brokers/insurers to negotiate terms, premiums, and cost structures.
Lead insurance and engineering site surveys to optimize underwriting outcomes.
Analyze insurance data, prepare budget forecasts, and present to senior management for approval.
Direct end‑to‑end renewal underwriting processes and review cover notes.
Oversee the end‑to‑end claims lifecycle with insurers and loss adjusters.
