Verition Fund Management LLC in Hong Kong seeks an experienced Operations Specialist for its Middle Office to support trade lifecycle across equity, derivative, FX and fixed income product lines.

The role involves collaborating with portfolio managers, traders, prime brokers, custodians and risk teams, performing bookings, confirmations, settlements, reconciliations and process improvements. A hands-on, detail-oriented communicator is essential.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in finance, economics or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of financial instruments (equities, fixed income, options, swaps, futures, FX).
• Familiarity with derivatives: swaps, swaptions, and futures.
• Strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all trade lifecycle events for multiple asset classes.
• Assist with trade bookings and lifecycle events.
• Process trade allocations and settlements.
• Advise on corporate actions breaks.
• Monitor prime broker portals and administrator systems.
• Identify process gaps and draft detailed requirements.
• Support senior management in optimizing workflows.
• Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure timely resolution of daily issues to avoid risk.
• Keep up-to-date with industry best practices.
