Lidl & Kaufland Asia in Hong Kong is seeking a senior Merchandising leader to oversee the department's day-to-day operations and ensure alignment with HQ strategy.

You will coach a large team, maximize efficiency, negotiate with suppliers and European buyers to hit turnover and margin targets, and build a robust supplier base. A degree and extensive merchandising experience are required, with willingness to travel as needed.

Qualifikationen

• Extensive merchandising experience and proven leadership of a large team.
• Excellent negotiator with a commercial mindset and ability to understand the big picture.
• Works well under pressure, can handle conflict, and meets deadlines.
• Technical knowledge in production and capable of solving supply chain and quality issues.

Aufgaben

• Oversee the Merchandising team's day-to-day operations in line with HQ strategy and expectations.
• Coach the merchandising team to maximize efficiency and achieve targets.
• Negotiate with suppliers and European buyers to meet turnover and margin goals.
• Develop a robust supply base via vendor selection, price negotiation and supplier performance metrics.
• Evaluate supplier performance and take corrective actions as needed.
• Lead strategic partnerships and develop categories directly with partners.
• Conduct market research with product development to expand business and product lines.
• Support sample development in line with department strategy.
• Build and develop a capable merchandising team to manage suppliers and drive orders.
• Drive end-to-end operational processes and coordinate with Supply Chain and other functions.
