Job summary

Guotai Junan International is seeking an experienced Applications Support professional in Hong Kong to provide day-to-day production support for Global Markets, FICC and Asset Management. You will maintain monitoring platforms, collaborate with developers and vendors, and assist with algorithmic trading and structured product systems.

The role requires 5+ years in application development or support, proficiency in Python/Shell/Windows Batch, Java, SQL and FIX, plus Bloomberg tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in application development or support.
• Proficient in scripting languages (Python, Shell, Windows Batch) for task automation and monitoring.
• Experience in Java, SQL, FIX protocol, Linux.
• Experience with Bloomberg applications such as AIMS/TOMS, MiddleX, Broadridge OMS.
• Experience in working with upstream and downstream applications.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud deployment technologies.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, learn‑able attitude.
• Proactive team player with clear, confident communication with fast-paced stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day application support for Global Markets, FICC, and Asset Management.
• Maintain and enhance the application monitoring platform for production systems stability.
• Liaise with business users to translate requirements into actionable support solutions.
• Collaborate with development teams and third-party vendors on production issues and change requests.
• Support the electronic trading platform with knowledge of algorithmic strategies.
• Support the structured product platform, including setup, data flow, and lifecycle event processing.
• Participate in and support annual Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and failover testing.
