Job summary

OSL in Hong Kong / Singapore is seeking a senior regulatory lawyer to lead global licensing strategy for a digital asset platform. You will drive regulatory submissions, engage with regulators, and guide strategic risk decisions at the executive level.

You will coordinate cross-border compliance with Product, Compliance, and Risk teams and negotiate regulatory-driven agreements with partners and banks to support expansion across markets.

Qualifications

• 8+ years PQE with training from top international law firms or leading tech/fintech companies.
• Proven track record executing financial services, payment, or digital asset license applications.
• Deep knowledge of global payment regulations, central bank rules, and digital asset compliance frameworks.
• Languages: English and Mandarin (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Lead Licensing Strategy: Drive global licensing submissions, renewals, and strategic regulatory filings across key growth markets.
• Regulator Engagement: Serve as the primary legal liaison with financial regulators, central banks, and external counsel on regulatory matters.
• Regulatory Governance: Interpret global financial services, crypto, and payment regulations to advise executive leadership on strategic risk and expansion boundaries.
• Cross-Border Compliance: Partner with Product, Compliance, and Risk teams to ensure business models and cross-border settlement flows align with local laws.
• Commercial Support: Draft and negotiate regulatory-driven agreements, joint ventures, and strategic banking partner contracts.
