Job summary

Li & Fung in Hong Kong seeks a movement-minded compliance leader to drive social, ethical, and environmental standards across the apparel supply chain. The role focuses on risk remediation, audits, and collaboration with factories worldwide to ensure responsible sourcing.

You will lead investigations, manage client expectations in US/EU markets, and build capacity in partner facilities while traveling internationally to production sites and coordinating across time zones.

Qualifications

• Extensive expertise in factory audits for social, security and environmental compliance in apparel/knitwear.
• Strong knowledge of international labor standards and sustainability initiatives.
• Proven ability to lead global compliance programmes and teams.
• Experience collaborating with factories and addressing production-floor challenges to drive results.
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
• Well-organized with ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proficient written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Risk Identification & Remediation: Lead efforts to identify social and ethical risks within the supply chain and develop remediation plans with factories worldwide.
• Compliance Account Management: Serve as the lead contact for US and EU customers to ensure compliance standards are met.
• Partner Engagement & Coaching: Guide factories, service providers and bodies to improve social, ethical, and environmental performance.
• Incident Investigations: Lead investigations into non-compliance and implement preventive measures and root-cause resolutions.
• Assessments & Audits: Conduct targeted audits with in-country teams to ensure audit findings translate into change.
• Communication: Report on compliance status, remediation progress, and KPIs to clients and stakeholders.
• Training & Capacity Building: Build compliance capacity within partner facilities through effective training.
