Job summary

OnTheList Limited is seeking a Full-stack Software Engineer for the Asia Pacific & Middle East region. The role is HK-based, full-time, and focuses on owning full-stack applications, APIs, databases, and integrations to support our premium flash sales platform.

You will design, develop, test, and maintain scalable systems, collaborate with regional teams, and ensure high availability and security across cloud deployments. Strong English and Cantonese communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in full-stack software development.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
• Strong relational database knowledge (PostgreSQL or MySQL).
• Hands-on experience with AWS and cloud deployments.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, testing, release management, and application security.
• Experience in ecommerce, Shopify app development, and system integrations is a plus.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Cantonese.

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end ownership of assigned applications and supporting systems, including development, deployment, maintenance, and continuous improvement.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack solutions (frontend, backend, APIs, databases, integrations, internal tools, automations).
• Provide L2 application support by investigating incidents and implementing sustainable solutions.
• Translate business needs into technical solutions by collaborating with APAC market users and business teams.
• Collaborate with core engineering and cross-functional teams to implement enhancements and new features.
• Coordinate with external vendors on configuration, integration, troubleshooting, and deployment.
• Monitor performance and reliability, improving stability and security where needed.
• Maintain technical documentation and provide guidance to Regional IT Operations.
