Job summary

Fosun International Securities Limited in Hong Kong seeks an FP&A professional to lead budgeting, forecasting and financial modeling for a fast-growing financial services or fintech group. You will build scalable models and deliver actionable insights to senior management and investors.

You will translate numbers into strategic recommendations, develop three-statement models, and produce management reports for diverse business lines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related discipline.
• 3-6 years FP&A, investment banking, Big 4 financial consulting or strategic finance experience; minimum 2 years within financial services or fintech
• Proven track record of building three-statement models and end-to-end budget frameworks; advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Strong ability to translate financial numbers into business insights and communicate with business leaders and investors
• Fluent written and spoken English & Chinese; able to draft analytical reports in English

Responsibilities

• Lead the annual budget cycle and monthly rolling forecasts, mapping out and optimising core business drivers; coordinate business units to submit, review and consolidate forecast data
• Prepare monthly management reports by division, revenue type, product and channel; conduct variance analysis and deliver actionable recommendations
• Build and maintain group-level three-statement financial models and unit economics models for each business line to support pricing decisions and resource allocation
• Prepare financial projections, valuation inputs, peer benchmarking and investor Q&A data for equity financing and IPO preparations
• Define and maintain consistent management accounting policies; ensure reconcilability between management accounts and statutory financial statements
• Collaborate with operations and tech teams to build a centralised operational data repository and dashboards to reduce manual data extraction
• Conduct feasibility studies for new products and new markets, including cost structure analysis and workforce productivity reviews

Job description

This is a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) role focused on driving financial strategy and business insights across a financial services or fintech organisation. You will lead budgeting and forecasting cycles, build financial models to support key business decisions, and provide actionable analysis to senior management and investors.

Key responsibilities

Lead the annual budget cycle and monthly rolling forecasts, mapping out and optimising core business drivers (AUA, transaction volume, insurance premiums, take rates, etc.); coordinate business units to submit, review and consolidate forecast data

Prepare monthly management reports segmented by division, revenue type, product and channel; conduct variance analysis (budget vs actual, YoY & MoM) and deliver actionable recommendations to senior management

Build and maintain group-level three-statement financial models and unit economics models for each business line to support pricing decisions, new business approvals and resource allocation

Prepare financial projections, valuation inputs, peer benchmarking and investor Q&A data for equity financing and IPO preparations

Define and maintain consistent management accounting policies; ensure full reconcilability between management accounts and statutory financial statements, with consistent reporting across periods

Collaborate with operations and tech teams to build a centralised operational data repository and management dashboards to reduce manual data extraction work

Conduct feasibility studies for new products and new markets, including cost structure analysis and workforce productivity reviews

About you

Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related disciplines

3-6 years of solid FP&A, investment banking, Big 4 financial consulting or strategic finance experience; minimum 2 years within financial services or fintech

Proven track record of building three-statement models and end-to-end budget frameworks; advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills

Strong ability to translate financial numbers into business insights and communicate directly with business leaders and investors

Fluent written and spoken English & Chinese; able to draft analytical reports in English

Hands-on mindset and able to keep up with the fast pace of a startup environment

Preferred: HKICPA, ACCA or CFA qualification

Preferred: Prior experience supporting Hong Kong IPOs or financial due diligence for equity fundraising

Preferred: Industry knowledge in wealth management, fund distribution, insurance brokerage, securities brokerage or digital asset businesses

Preferred: Proficiency in SQL, Power BI or AI productivity tools to automate analysis workflows
