Job summary

Pure Search is assisting a fast-growing Asia-based insurance broker in Hong Kong to hire a senior FP&A professional. You will report to the CFO and lead financial planning, budgeting, and management reporting across lines of business.

You will analyze P&L, revenue, commissions, and expenses; build dashboards; oversee forecasts, variance analysis, and KPI tracking for the executive team. The ideal candidate holds a finance degree with 5–8 years of FP&A, strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, accounting or related field
• Solid financial reporting and accounting experience; FP&A experience preferred
• Experience calculating commission-related data; insurance background a plus
• Due diligence experience; Big 4 background a plus
• Fluency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

The ideal candidate will be responsible on financial planning and analysis for the organization. You are comfortable handling large amounts of data, reporting to the CFO directly.

Responsibilities

• P&L and Revenue Analysis: Track brokerage commission income, placement fees, retention rates, and new business production across various lines of business (general and long-term insurance).
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and strategic business planning cycles.
• Management Reporting & Dashboards: Prepare regular performance reviews, variance analysis (actual vs. budget), and KPI tracking for C-suite and leadership teams.
• Expense Management & Cost Optimization: Monitor operational overheads, staff incentive payouts (broker/producer bonuses), and office costs in Hong Kong.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, accounting or related field with at least 5-8 years of relevant experience
• Solid financial reporting and accounting experience; good to with FP&A experience
• Experienced in calculating commission related data, with insurance background is a plus
• Good to with due diligence experience; open for candidates with Big 4 transaction services background
• Fluency in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
