Hong Kong Wing On Travel Service Ltd is seeking a Finance Supervisor / Assistant Finance Manager to oversee core accounting operations and drive digital transformation of financial workflows.

You will partner with tours, product, procurement, sales and customer service teams to deliver forward-looking insights, support pricing decisions, and lead month-end close, dashboards and variance analysis using Excel and Power BI. Cantonese and English are required; Mandarin an advantage.

Formación

• Degree in accounting, finance, business or related discipline.
• HKICPA / ACCA / CPA qualification or part-qualified.
• 3+ years in finance or accounting, ideally combining audit with commercial finance or FP&A.
• Solid management accounting — costing, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis; HKFRS knowledge.
• Hands-on Excel plus Power BI/Tableau, SQL, VBA, Python or RPA tools; at least one automation/dashboard project.
• Cantonese as working language; fluent written and spoken English; Mandarin is an advantage.
• Right to work in Hong Kong.

About the Role

We are seeking an agile and tech-savvy Finance Supervisor / Assistant Finance Manager to oversee our core accounting operations while driving digital transformation across our financial workflows. This role blends full-cycle accounting governance, team leadership, and process automation to bridge business operations with financial systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Business partnering — primary finance contact for the Tours business; work with the Head of Tours, product, procurement, sales and customer service teams; attend business reviews, provide forward-looking financial insight, challenge assumptions and influence commercial decisions.

• Tour costing, pricing and profitability — build and maintain profitability analysis by tour series, route and departure (cost per passenger, gross margin per passenger, tour contribution); support pricing and margin decisions; lock costs before departure and analyse post-tour variances.

• Planning, budgeting and forecasting — annual budget and rolling forecasts reflecting seasonal peaks (Chinese New Year, Easter, summer, Christmas).

• Management reporting and decision support — monthly management reporting with variance analysis vs budget, forecast and prior year; KPIs including passenger volume, load factor, gross margin per passenger, average tour fare, cancellation and refund rates, repeat customer ratio and agent commission; business cases for new routes, products, promotional campaigns and system investment.

• Financial control, compliance and risk — key controls over deposit collection and offsetting, supplier payment approval, refund authorisation and pre-departure cost lock; support compliance with Travel Industry Authority (TIA) requirements, the Travel Agents Ordinance and Travel Industry Compensation Fund levy obligations.

• Process improvement, systems and data — streamline month-end close, supplier reconciliation and commission computation; build and maintain reporting dashboards (Excel, Power BI or similar) for tour profitability.

Requirements

• Degree in accounting, finance, business or related discipline.

• HKICPA / ACCA / CPA qualified or part-qualified (required).

• 3+ years in finance or accounting, ideally combining audit (Big 4 or reputable firm) with commercial finance or FP&A.

• Solid management accounting — costing, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis; working knowledge of HKFRS (HKFRS 15 a plus).

• Hands-on Excel plus at least one of Power BI/Tableau, SQL, VBA, Python or RPA tools, with at least one automation or dashboard project delivered end-to-end.

• Cantonese as the working language; fluent written and spoken English; Mandarin is an advantage.

• Commercial acumen and the confidence to challenge constructively; comfortable with detail while keeping sight of the bigger picture.

• A sense of ownership and resilience during peak season, with high standards of integrity.

• Right to work in Hong Kong is required.

Candidates with more experience with a professional accounting qualification, will be considered for the title of Assistant Finance Manager.
