Finance Director (Business Partner, Strategy & Controllership)

A prominent Hong Kong Corporation is looking for a commercially driven financial executive to oversee its corporate finance division and act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership. This high-impact executive position directs capital allocation, risk management, statutory disclosures, treasury strategy, and operational budgeting to align with the institution's long-term mandate.

Responsibilities

  • Guide top-level decision-making through comprehensive financial intelligence, predictive forecasting, management metrics, and performance analytics.
  • Direct the organization's overall financial resources, optimizing liquidity, cash flow, and investment yield within strict risk and operational framework boundaries.
  • Direct the end-to-end production of compliant statutory accounts, interim reporting, tax filings, and regulatory submissions.
  • Steer organizational planning cycles by establishing rigorous budgeting models and resource allocation frameworks aligned with strategic goals.
  • Maintain oversight of collection systems and operational revenue workflows, driving efficiency, compliance, and continuous workflow improvement.
  • Lead the evaluation, upgrading, and implementation of financial software, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, and digital accounting infrastructure to drive process automation and operational efficiency.
  • Formulate, review, and enhance internal control policies, accounting standards, risk management frameworks, and institutional banking arrangements.
  • Monitor operational expenditure and business performance against core benchmarks, identifying opportunities to strengthen controls and productivity.
  • Supervise, mentor, and build the finance team, cultivating a performance-driven environment centered on accountability, cross-functional collaboration, and professional development.

Requirements

  • Credentials: University degree in Accountancy, Finance, or Business, paired with full professional membership (e.g., HKICPA, ACCA, CPA, or international equivalent).
  • Experience: 15+ years of expanding financial management background, featuring a strong track record in an executive or department-head position.
  • Domain Mastery: Comprehensive command of risk frameworks, statutory auditing, treasury, tax, financial planning, and operational oversight.
  • Strategic Vision: Demonstrated experience advising executive leadership and driving organizational change, systems transformation, or operational modernization.
  • Interpersonal & Communication: Exceptional stakeholder management capabilities, with full bilingual proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese/Mandarin).
