Job summary

Cornerstone Robotics in Hong Kong seeks a field service engineer to travel overseas for after-sales service of medical devices, including on-site installation, commissioning and testing of components. You will introduce functions and installation procedures to customers and provide structured training on operation, pre-surgery preparation, and post-surgery disassembly.

• Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical, Electronic, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years post-sales or clinical support in medical devices, preferably in surgical robotics or endoscopic equipment.
• Able to read mechanical engineering drawings, mechanical 3D diagrams, and hardware circuit diagrams.
• Excellent command of English, Cantonese and Mandarin advantageous; willing to travel overseas.

Responsibilities

• Provide after-sales service overseas, including installation, commissioning and testing.
• Introduce functions, usage, and installation procedures of machine components to customers.
• Deliver systematic training on machine operation, pre-surgery preparation, and post-surgery disassembly.
• Collect, record and track issues from customer feedback.
• Analyse damaged components, arrange replacements, and perform repair tasks within agreed timeframes.
• Formulate maintenance plans, conduct regular system maintenance and component replacement at designated locations.
• Manage after-sales maintenance inventory and storage according to product lifespan.
• Assist sales teams with trade show support and customer demonstrations as required.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth handover between technical and case support.
• Ensure all field service activities comply with regulatory requirements and maintain traceable service records.

Job description

• Provide systematic training on machine operation, pre-surgery preparation, and post-surgery disassembly and assist in building localized service capabilities.
• Collect, record and track issues from the customer feedback.
• Analyse and evaluate potentially damaged components, identify defective components, prepare the required replacements, and carry out repair tasks within the specified timeframe based on customer feedback.
• Formulate after-sales maintenance plans and schedules, and conduct regular system maintenance, inspections, and component replacement at designated locations.
• Manage after-sales maintenance inventory and storage according to the product design lifespan.
• Assist sales teams with trade show support and customer demonstrations as required.
• Collaborate with cross-function teams to ensure seamless handover between technical and case support.
• Ensure all field service activities comply with regulatory requirements and maintain accurate service records for traceability.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical, Electronic, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 2+ years of after-sales or clinical support experience in medical devices, preferably in surgical robotics or endoscopic equipment.
• Familiar with the assembly processes and precautions for mechanical components and electronic products, as well as electronic product testing processes.
• Able to read mechanical engineering drawings, mechanical 3D diagrams, and hardware circuit diagrams.
• Excellent command of English is a must — both written and spoken, with the ability to communicate confidently with overseas clients and distributors. Proficiency in Cantonese and Mandarin is an advantage.
• Willing to travel overseas frequently and adapt to different working environments.
• Able to work independently and make decisions in high-pressure situations.
• Strong sense of responsibility, teamwork, and customer service.
