Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle, Inc. is seeking a facilities manager for on-site operation of school assets in Hong Kong.

The role oversees maintenance across academic buildings, sports facilities, and dormitories, leading in-house technicians and coordinating with external contractors. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s in FM or related field and at least 5 years in facilities management, with strong MEP knowledge and English fluency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Building Services, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Minimum of 5 years of facilities management experience, preferably in educational, institutional or complex multi-building environments.
• Strong technical expertise in building systems - demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and manage mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) infrastructure.
• Proven experience managing maintenance teams and third-party vendors.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken), additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations and maintenance of all school facilities, including academic buildings, sport complexes, dormitories (if applicable), and grounds
• Oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, security and building automation systems
• Lead a team of in-house technicians and coordinate with external contractors for specialized services
• Develop and implemented preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime
• Ensure full compliance with location regulations, health & safety standards, and international school accreditation requirements
• Manage facility-related budgets, vendor contracts and service-level agreements
• Respond promptly to emergency situations (e.g. power outages, water leaks, security incidents)
