Job summary

Employees Retraining Board (ERB), soon Upskill Hong Kong (UHK), seeks a visionary Executive Director to head the Executive Office and steer its transformation. The role reports to the Board and requires leading reform, strategy, and stakeholder collaboration to build a future-ready manpower pool for Hong Kong's knowledge-based economy.

The Executive Director will drive governance, manage the retraining fund and resources, and guide the organisation through its transition to UHK with integrity

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or postgraduate degree from a university.
• Minimum 20 years of managerial experience in a sizable organisation.
• Senior or equivalent leadership role experience.
• Excellent Chinese and English, Putonghua an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall strategic reform, operation and development of ERB, and oversee transition to UHK.
• Drive reform initiatives with government, industries, and stakeholders.
• Establish a forward-looking, skills-based training framework for grassroots workers.
• Manage resources prudently to support sustainable development of ERB/UHK.
• Foster high performance and governance throughout the organisation.
