Job summary

BBVA Hong Kong is seeking an executive to lead origination, structuring and execution of Asset Finance deals focusing on aircraft and vessels across the Asia-Pacific region. The role involves developing a strong client pipeline, negotiating terms, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver tailored financing solutions.

The candidate will work closely with clients and stakeholders, travel within APAC, and uphold ESG standards while driving sustainable asset financing growth for BBVA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or Economics.
• 12+ years of asset finance experience with banks, lessors, or advisory firms.
• Proven origination and execution track record in aircraft/vessel financing.
• Knowledge of Cape Town Convention and international financing regulations.
• Strong deal structuring, financial modelling and credit analysis.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to work independently and with teams; travel in APAC.
• Fluent in English; Spanish/Japanese a plus.
• Proficient in MS Office and AI analytical tools.

Responsibilities

• Originate and pursue aircraft and vessel financing opportunities.
• Lead end-to-end deal structuring, due diligence, and closing.
• Collaborate with legal, risk, and credit teams to mitigate risk.
• Monitor market trends in aviation and maritime sectors.
• Develop client relationships and grow the APAC pipeline.
• Mentor juniors and ensure adherence to ESG and standards.
