Job summary

IHG in Hong Kong is seeking an Event Sales Manager to drive guest experiences from lead to post-event follow-up, managing budgets and upsell opportunities within the wedding and social events market.

You will monitor market conditions, develop market knowledge, and negotiate contracts with clients while maintaining high standards of service. Weekend or public holiday work may be required; a strong team player is essential.

Qualifications

• Sophisticated interpersonal skills, negotiation skills and leadership skills.
• Knowledge in Delphi and Opera systems is an advantage.
• Demonstrated success in nurturing accounts through lengthy sales cycles.
• Maintain a high level of knowledge pertaining to policy and procedure and communicate knowledge effectively to all personnel when applicable.
• Demonstrate clear and effective verbal and written skills for the purpose of obtaining and conveying information to clients, technicians, management and team members as well as producing reports.
• Ability to work under pressure and work over weekends or public holidays as required.
• Candidates with less experience may be considered as Assistant Event Sales Manager.
