ROLE SUMMARY
The ELV Manager will lead the ELV systems design and work closely with customers and project stakeholders to develop and finalize BMS infrastructure, Chilled water plant control system, CCTV system, Security system, ICT infrastructure and WIFI system for data centers and other mission-critical infrastructure projects.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the design and development of mission-critical Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems for hyperscale data center projects, including building management systems (BMS), data center infrastructure management (DCIM), chiller plant control system (CPOS), Structured Cabling Systems (SCS), security systems, access control, CCTV, and other intelligent building technologies.
- Prepare high-level concept designs, system architecture, capacity planning studies, equipment room layouts, network topology diagrams and key performance requirements during the early stages of project development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external consultants throughout the project lifecycle, from feasibility studies and concept development to schematic design, detailed engineering, construction administration and commissioning.
- Manage and oversee consultant teams in the delivery of detailed engineering designs for mission-critical ELV systems, ensuring integration between security, ICT, BMS, DCIM, CPOS, monitoring and operational technologies.
- Ensure all ELV designs comply with customer requirements, local regulations, international standards, industry best practices and corporate security, reliability and sustainability objectives.
- Coordinate with equipment vendors and technology suppliers, conduct technical specification reviews, evaluate emerging technologies and participate in client design review meetings.
- Review and validate design documentation, system integration strategies, testing and commissioning (T&C) procedures, functional performance test plans, and end-to-end system acceptance test scripts for critical ELV infrastructure.
- Work closely with electrical, mechanical, architectural, structural, ICT, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of ELV systems within the overall data center design.
- Attend site meetings, factory acceptance tests (FAT), site inspections, system integration testing, and commissioning activities to ensure successful project execution and operational readiness.
- Support the development of technical standards, design guidelines and best practices for ELV and intelligent building systems across the data center portfolio.
- Participate in overseas project meetings, site inspections and stakeholder engagements as required.
QUALIFICATION
- Degree holder in Electronic Engineering, Building Service Engineering or related disciplines.
- Minimum 5-8 years of hands-on design and engineering experience in ELV, ICT, security and intelligent building systems within data center and critical facilities environments.
- Proven experience in the design and delivery of mission-critical ELV systems, including Building Management Systems (BMS), Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM), Structured Cabling Systems (SCS), CCTV, Access Control Systems (ACS) and integrated monitoring platforms.
- Familiarity with Tier Classification standards (Uptime Institute Tier III/IV design principles), TIA-942, BICSI and relevant ICT and security industry standards.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Visio and relevant ELV design, network planning and system integration software.
- Strong understanding of system integration, network architecture, cybersecurity considerations, and operational technologies within mission-critical facilities.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary consultants, system vendors and contractors in the delivery of ELV and intelligent building systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel as required by project within the region.
- Self-motivated with strong ownership and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with the team.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English; Chinese language skills, including Cantonese and Mandarin, are advantageous.
