Job summary

The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University invites applications for the position of Scientific Officer (Ref. 261030008-IE).

The appointee will operate, maintain and calibrate electrical engineering equipment and software, and assist users in using them. They will also manage teaching laboratories, support student projects and implement teaching tools, and undertake any other duties as assigned by the Head of Unit or delegates.

Qualifications

• Recognised degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Five or more years of relevant post-qualification experience.
• Good command of English and Chinese, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and calibrate electrical engineering equipment and software.
• Assist and train users on the use of such equipment and software.
• Manage teaching laboratories of the Unit.
• Support students' projects and implement teaching tools.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of Unit or delegates.
