Job summary

Standard Chartered Bank in Hong Kong is seeking a seasoned licensing and regulatory registrations professional to oversee the day-to-day execution of licensing, registration and regulatory processes. You will ensure timely submissions, renewals and notifications in line with HK regulators such as HKMA, SFC, IA and MPFA.

Qualifications

• Familiar with HKMA, SFC, IA and MPFA’s licensing or regulated persons frameworks in Hong Kong.
• Educated to degree level or equivalent; legal education would be beneficial.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience managing or supporting licensing, registration or regulatory approval processes in Hong Kong.
• Experience supervising and coaching a team.
• Ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and translate them into operational processes.
• Strong confidentiality and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate licensing, registration and notification activities for the Hong Kong franchise.
• Maintain licensing and registration inventory and supporting documentation.
• Establish and maintain processes to ensure licensing requirements are implemented across functions.
• Provide HKMA, SFC, IA and MPFA licensing-related advisory.
• Ensure timely regulatory filings for appointments and changes of senior regulatory roles.
• Supervise and coach licensing and registration team.
• Liaise with stakeholders and regulators for applications, notifications and cessations.
• Maintain records of staff movement and regulatory notifications.
• Review CPT accreditation and ensure training hours are fulfilled.
• Follow up on HKSI licensing examination status.
