Job summary

PERSOL Hong Kong Limited is seeking a Director of Sourcing & Merchandising Leader to drive end-to-end product development and vendor allocation across denim and woven categories. The role focuses on expanding the global production footprint and managing multi-country supplier networks.

You will oversee sourcing strategies, negotiate pricing and MOQs, and collaborate with design, QA, and manufacturing partners to ensure on-time delivery while optimizing costs.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years of technical merchandising and sourcing experience within apparel manufacturing, multinational buying offices, or global trading houses.
• Deep technical knowledge in Denim goods (fabrications, wash development, garment construction).
• Hands-on experience developing and managing production networks in overseas locations, with exposure to Africa/EMEA sourcing hubs.
• Strong commercial acumen with proven ability to manage complex cost breakdowns and factory allocations.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end sourcing, costing, and production strategies for global retail and brand accounts within the denim and woven product categories.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard strategic manufacturing partners in emerging low-tariff regions (Africa/EMEA hubs) to optimize capacity, lead times, and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with design, technical, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless commercialization from proto sample to bulk delivery.
• Drive vendor negotiations on FOB pricing, MOQs, fabric development, and production allocations.
• Monitor vendor compliance, factory capability, and on-time delivery metrics across multi-country production facilities.
