Job summary

Sands Design Studio, part of Sands China, seeks a senior hospitality interior designer to lead design excellence across Macao properties, including Hotel, F&B, Gaming, MICE spaces and public areas.

Your role involves directing external design teams, guiding resources, and working with internal stakeholders and vendors to deliver premier interiors within budget and schedule while upholding luxury standards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hospitality interior design experience in luxury sector.
• Strong project management and organizational skills to deliver on schedule and budget.
• Ability to collaborate with senior management and external consultants.
• Experience across hotel, F&B, gaming, and public spaces.

Responsibilities

• Direct external design teams in the execution of their design deliverables to meet schedule and budget.
• Develop a culture of integrity, teamwork, communication, and project delivery to support internal stakeholders, external consultants and vendors.
• Facilitate Interior Design delivery for new projects and CAPEX plan initiatives with strategic recommendations.
• Project planning with stakeholder requirements ensuring the Interior Design Brief and program are fully considered for each project.
• Support the project delivery team in all aspects related to design to ensure quality deliverables by consultants and contractors.
• Support Commercial and Procurement teams by providing input on schedule, budget, and design consultants’ RFPs, and manage contract resolution as necessary.

Your role will be diverse, challenging and stimulating in driving a luxurious standard of ‘Design Excellence’ across all areas of Macao properties from Hotel, F&B, Gaming, MICE Space, and public community spaces.

Responsibilities

• Direct external design teams in the execution of their design deliverables, define SDS team resources providing direction and guidance to ensure successful implementation of “Design Excellence” that meets project schedule and budget
• Develop a strong culture of integrity, teamwork, communication, passion, creativity, respect and strong project delivery to support internal stakeholders (DPM, FFE, Procurement, Commercial and Operations), external consultants and vendors
• Facilitate Interior Design delivery process for new projects and CAPEX plan initiatives, providing strategic recommendations to improve the inherent value of the asset, quality of the guest experience through elevated design enhancements
• Project planning incorporating stakeholder requirements in collaboration Project teams ensuring the Interior Design Brief, program and all details are fully considered for each project
• Support the project delivery team in all aspects related to design, to ensure acceptable quality deliverables by the consultants and contractors throughout all stages of the project
• Support internal Commercial and Procurement teams by providing input and approvals on schedule, budget and design consultants’ RFP’s, Interior Design deliverables, and fee, manage contract resolution as necessary

Requirements

• Over 7 years of relevant experience with proven track record in Hospitality Design; within the luxury sector at major Interior Design / Consultancy Firm, Hospitality and Development companies or owner / operators.
• Strong project management and organizational skills, including the ability to handle details through to completion, ensure project objectives are met and projects are successfully delivered on par with ‘Design Excellence
• Ability to work collaboratively with all stakeholders; strong interpersonal skills to relate well with senior management with poise, while being a self-starter
• Complex problem solving and creative solution skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced, and changeable environment under pressure while meeting deadlines
• Experience and knowledge of all aspects of hospitality interior design including space planning, FF&E, design materials; Interior Design processes, design team structures
