Job summary

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) is seeking a Digital Automation Engineer in the System & Network Operations department. The role identifies, designs, and implements automated solutions to eliminate repetitive manual processes and improve operational efficiency through digital workflows.

You will evaluate current workflows, architect technical solutions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver automation projects, with a strong emphasis on security and reliability.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information System or IT related disciplines.
• Minimum 3 years of infra and system programming or scripting.
• Solid hands-on coding and software development experience.
• Experience with integration coding using Python, Perl, Unix Shell, PowerShell, Excel Macro, PowerApp, etc.
• Knowledge of Windows, Linux, ServiceNow, CyberArk, SharePoint.
• Interest and knowledge in Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Attention to details, with multi-tasking capabilities.
• Strong sense of technology risk and security.
• Proactive, able to work independently.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities by analyzing existing business processes for automation.
• Architect, develop, and deploy robust automation solutions using RPA, scripting, AI, or low-code platforms.
• Eliminate manual data entry and processing by creating digital workflows.
• Initiate projects by collaborating with cross-functional teams on scope and timelines.
• Create proposals with detailed business cases and cost-benefit analyses.
• Document technical processes with SOPs, user guides, and process maps.
