Crystal Investment Limited in Hong Kong seeks a Development Director to lead our property development initiatives, managing the full life-cycle from site acquisition and town planning through to marketing and interior layout optimization.
You will drive design excellence, spatial efficiency, budgeting discipline, and ROI-focused delivery across residential and commercial projects, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders to translate vision into built reality.
We are seeking a Development Director, with a strong business acumen and vision to lead our property development initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will manage the entire life-cycle of our projects from initial site acquisition and town planning through to marketing and interior layout design optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
Enhance the market-driven design capability of our team and products, ensuring every development starting from customer needs and perspectives, design products that identify with our target customer profiles;
Drive excellence in space maximization and ergonomic design, with a strong focus on spatial efficiency, innovative building design, integrated furniture and interior design solutions;
Maximize project returns through strategic layout design, town planning applications and land premium negotiations, particularly for existing and during acquisition of new projects;
Solicit government for policy support in line with the company direction; and
Oversee comprehensive construction and project management to ensure seamless translation from design vision to built reality, design integrity, quality control, adherence to timelines and budgets.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Real Estate and Construction, Urban Planning and Design, or a related field; professional qualifications such as HKIP or RICS are preferred;
Minimum of 10 to 15 years of relevant experience in property development, with a proven track record of successfully delivering residential or commercial projects from conception to completion;
Extensive knowledge of town planning regulations, land premium assessment, building design, and construction project management;
Strong background in furniture and interior design, combined with sharp commercial instinct to optimize returns;
Proven ability to balance innovative design including interior planning and space optimization with disciplined budgeting and ROI targets;
Committed to design excellence and able to thrive in a dynamic and forward-thinking team;
Passionate about innovative living trends and enhancing the customer experience; and
Fluency in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) required.
