Job summary

Leighton Contractors (Asia) Ltd in Hong Kong is seeking a design engineer to manage preparation of drawings, sketches and reports, and to review drawings with structural and building services disciplines. You will address design queries and raise RFIs, supporting shop drawing reviews by sub-contractors and temporary works design reviews.

You will liaise with the Construction team on design interfaces and constructability, and develop tools to track, report and monitor design package progress,

Qualifications

• Degree holder in Engineering, Architecture or relevant disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Manage preparation of drawings / sketches / reports.
• Review drawings and coordinate with other disciplines such as structure and building services
• Address and resolve design queries, raise Request for Information (RFI)
• Support in management and review of shop drawings by sub-contractors
• Review and drive temporary works designs
• Liaise with Construction team on design, interface and constructability aspects and where appropriate
• Develop and maintain design management tools for tracking, reporting, and monitoring the progress and delivery of design packages
• Facilitate collaboration between stakeholders to complete engineering design reviews and enhance efficiency

Job Requirement:

Degree holder inEngineering, Architecture or relevant disciplines

At least 3 years' relevant experience

Proficient in Revit and other BIM software

Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese
