Job summary

Leighton Contractors (Asia) Ltd in Hong Kong seeks an Engineering Support Services & Works Coordinator to coordinate electrical maintenance, outages and permit-to-work activities ensuring safe, compliant delivery.

You will liaise with Operations, Maintenance and Engineering teams, review isolation plans and provide engineering support for planned outages and energisation, while ensuring documentation and inspections are completed.

Qualifications

• Higher Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services.

• Coordinate day-to-day administration of the ESSW process and conduct routine compliance checks.
• Process and track electrical work permits, isolation requests, switching schedules and safety docs.
• Act as central point of contact between Operations, Maintenance, Engineering and Contractors.
• Review isolation plans, switching schedules and permit requirements for maintenance and projects.
• Provide engineering support for outages, shutdowns, energisation and return-to-service.
• Verify compliance with electrical safety procedures and safe working practices.

Engineering Support Services & Works Coordinator

This role will provide coordination and support to the planning, coordination and safe execution of electrical maintenance, operational and project activities related to electrical isolations, switching activities, outages and permit-to-work requirements to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with engineering standards and operational requirements..

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate the day-to-day administration of the ESSW process, conduct routine compliance checks and elevate discrepancies where required.

Process and track electrical work permits, isolation requests, switching schedules and related safety documentation.

Act as the central point of contact between Operations, Maintenance, Engineering teams and Contractors for planned electrical works.

Review electrical isolation plans, switching schedules and permit requirements for maintenance and project activities.

Provide engineering support for planned outages, shutdowns, energisation and return-to-service activities.

Liaise with Operations, Maintenance, Project Teams and Contractors to ensure safe and effective delivery of electrical works.

Verify compliance with electrical safety procedures, isolation requirements and safe working practices.

Verify compliance for a Work Completion Certificate (Form WR1 or WR1(A)) under Hong Kong's Electricity Ordinance, ensure the installation is inspected, tested, and certified by a registered worker before being energized.

Review technical documentation, electrical drawings and work packs to support work planning and execution.

Support site inspections, audits, investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.

Prepare engineering reports, outage plans, work schedules and technical documentation.

Assist in contractor management and coordination of electrical works across multiple stakeholders.

Assist with audits, inspections and document reviews relating to electrical safety systems and processes.
