Job summary

China State Construction Engineering (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking an experienced Senior Design Engineer to lead a multi-disciplinary design team on hospital and building projects, coordinating deliverables and resolving design issues with the construction teams.

Candidates should hold a degree in structural or civil engineering, have 10+ years of relevant experience, be proficient in Revit and BIM software, and communicate fluently in English and Chinese.

Qualifications

• Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering is required.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience with hospital/building exposure.
• Knowledge of temporary works design.
• Proficiency in Revit and BIM software.
• Fluent in English and Chinese, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers, designers and coordinators.
• Act as the key point of contact with project teams on design deliverables.
• Manage preparation of drawings / sketches / reports within ABWF Design Team.
• Review drawings and coordinate with other disciplines such as Architectural and building services.
• Address and resolve design queries, raise RFIs (RFI).
• Support in management and review of shop drawings by sub-contractors.
• Review and drive temporary works designs.
• Liaise with Construction team on design, interface and constructability aspects.
• Develop and maintain design management tools for tracking, reporting, and monitoring the progress and delivery of design packages.
• Facilitate collaboration between stakeholders to complete engineering design reviews and enhance efficiency.

China State Construction Engineering (Hong Kong) Limited (“the Company” or “China State Hong Kong”) started its construction business in Hong Kong in 1979. The Company engages in building construction and civil engineering works. China State Hong Kong is among the largest construction contractors in Hong Kong, and is approved by the Works Bureau, to be on the List of Approved Contractors (Group C) for Public Works in the five major categories of building and civil engineering works, namely, “Buildings”, “Port Works”, “Roads and Drainage”, “Site Formation” and “Waterworks”.

Responsibilities：

• Lead a team of engineers, designer and coordinators

Requirements：

• Degree holder in Structural / Civil Engineering
• At least 10 years' relevant experience with minimum 3 years in hospital / building experience
• Knowledge and Experience of temporary works design
• Proficient in Revit and other BIM software
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese
