Job summary

Macdonald & Company Limited in Hong Kong seeks an experienced (Associate) Project Director – Critical Facilities Engineering / Data Center to lead end-to-end delivery of complex data center projects, from design and construction to testing, commissioning and handover.

You will manage schedules, budgets, quality, safety and risk, oversee MEP and critical infrastructure, and coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors and internal teams to ensure seamless handover and ongoing operations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Building Services, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Around 10+ years of project management experience, preferably in data centers, critical facilities or complex MEP projects.
• Strong knowledge of MEP and mission-critical infrastructure systems.
• Proven experience across design, construction, testing & commissioning and handover.
• Strong leadership, client management and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Professional qualification such as HKIE, CIBSE, PMP or equivalent is an advantage.
• Good command of English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of data center projects, from design and construction to testing, commissioning and handover.
• Manage project schedule, budget, quality, safety and risk.
• Oversee MEP and critical infrastructure works, including power, UPS, generators, cooling/HVAC and BMS.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors and internal teams.
• Lead testing & commissioning / IST and ensure smooth operational handover.
• Manage project teams and resolve key technical, commercial and programme issues.
• Monitor the Data Center operations.
