1. Serve as the technical lead in the pre-sales phase, owning overall technical support and solution architecture for prefabricated data center projects — translating customer business, site and IT requirements into complete, buildable system solutions.
2. Review site, utility power, water, IT configuration, construction standards and phasing inputs; define design basis, assumptions and supply scope boundaries.
3. Lead conceptual architecture design for capacity planning, site layout and module arrangement, power distribution and UPS, diesel generation, cooling (including liquid cooling), ELV and fire protection; drive load, capacity and redundancy verification.
4. Evaluate single-equipment failure, maintenance and phased-expansion scenarios, balancing reliability, maintainability and cost to recommend the optimal architecture.
5. Coordinate with structural, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and ELV disciplines to deliver the integrated solution; align cross-discipline design inputs and interfaces, owning overall completeness and technical consistency.
6. Produce design narratives, system architecture diagrams, equipment specifications, key equipment lists and technical scope documents to support cost and schedule evaluation.
7. Lead design workshops, architecture presentations and in-depth technical Q&A with owners, developers, end users and consultant teams; own tender technical responses, deviation tables and technical contract appendices, identifying technical risks and commitment boundaries.
8. Hand over design basis, architecture and open interface items to detailed design and delivery teams; build architecture templates, verification methods and technical knowledge bases; track high-density and liquid-cooling technology developments and mentor the pre-sales team.
1. Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Building Environment and Energy Engineering, HVAC, Architecture, Automation or a related discipline, with deep expertise in one discipline and the ability to integrate across disciplines.
2. 10+ years of experience in data centers or critical infrastructure engineering, including 5+ years in data center design, overall architecture or technical leadership roles.
3. Full lifecycle project experience spanning master planning, scheme and detailed design, construction support, testing & commissioning, handover and acceptance — with a clear understanding of operations and maintenance needs.
4. A track record of leading multi-discipline solution design, customer technical reviews and closing complex technical issues; experience with overseas projects, prefabricated data centers or high-density liquid cooling is preferred.
5. Able to independently lead overall data center architecture, including load and capacity analysis, power and cooling architecture selection, redundancy and maintenance scenario assessment.
6. Familiar with power distribution, UPS, diesel generation, air cooling and liquid cooling systems, and key interfaces with structural, fire protection, ELV and monitoring systems; knowledgeable in data center design standards and reliability requirements, able to assess applicability against local codes.
7. Able to clearly explain design selections, calculation logic and engineering trade-offs to customer technical teams, lead cross-discipline Q&A, and identify architectural weaknesses and implementation risks.
8. Able to work effectively in both Chinese and English — reading and preparing English technical documents, and leading technical meetings and client communications in English; proficient in CAD and documentation tools, with BIM coordination awareness, and willing to travel. Registered Electrical Engineer, Registered Utilities Engineer (HVAC), Registered Architect or other senior professional qualifications preferred.
