Data & Analytics Lead, Global Benefits APAC

What the day will look like

The Global Benefits Data & Analytics Lead provides expert, data-driven advice to multinational clients on medical claims utilization, cost management, programme design and global benefits funding strategies. The role partners with client teams and insurers to design, implement and optimize benefit programs that are financially sustainable and aligned with client risk, cost and people objectives. The success of this role is measured through the ability to transform global benefits insights into a competitive differentiator that drives client retention, market expansion and tangible innovation.

Core Responsibilities
  • Serve as a senior advisor to multinational clients on healthcare and risk benefit strategy, with a focus on claims utilization, cost management and value optimization.
  • Interpret complex data and analytics to develop clear, actionable recommendations for global and regional HR, Finance and Risk stakeholders.
  • Lead client meetings, workshops and presentations, explaining analytical findings and funding options in a clear, commercially focused manner.
  • Act as the primary quantitative partner to the global benefits advisors and subject matter experts to provide a unified, data-driven value proposition for most complex, multinational clients.
  • Define and execute the data and analytics roadmap for global benefits clients and broader regional needs.
  • Develop and apply analytical models, benchmarks and utilization studies to identify trends, cost drivers, and savings opportunities.
  • Translate complex analytics into executive-ready insights, dashboards and reports for senior leadership audiences.
  • Support design, implementation and ongoing optimization of global benefits financing options, including multinational pooling, captives, and alternative risk financing arrangements, including governance, reporting and performance review.
  • Evaluate and compare funding structures using quantitative analysis (e.g., loss ratios, volatility, expected dividends, capital requirements).
  • Lead multi-country projects, managing timelines, deliverables, resources and budgets.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (consulting, broking, actuarial, analytics, local country offices) and external partners (insurers, TPAs, network providers) to identify challenges and scale successful pilots into global standards.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of analysts and client teams to deliver high quality advice and solutions.
  • Be responsible for financial, client and quality outcomes, track performance and report regularly to management.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of analytics tools, methodologies, templates and best practices for global benefits consulting by integrating emerging data technologies and new methodologies
  • Support new business development, including proposal creation, RFP responses and presentations to prospective clients.
  • Mentor and coach junior colleagues on analytical approaches, technical skills and client delivery standards.
  • Monitor market, regulatory and vendor developments in global health and risk benefits, and share insights with clients and internal teams.
  • Participate in internal or industry forums, webinars and thought leadership initiatives related to global benefits, analytics and funding strategies.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • 15+ years of experience in employee benefits, health/medical insurance, actuarial consulting, risk financing or related fields, with significant exposure to multinational clients.
  • Strong technical experience and post graduate qualifications in analytics, health economics, actuarial or quantitative analysis, and cost management strategies.
  • Demonstrated experience with global benefits funding arrangements, including multinational pooling and/or captive programs.
  • Proven track record of leading complex, multi-country client engagements and delivering clear, data-driven recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency with analytical/visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL or similar); familiarity with actuarial or statistical tools is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Strong collaboration skills and comfort working across cultures, time zones and virtual teams.
