Job summary

Cathay Pacific is seeking a Business Analyst – Data & AI Governance on an 18-month contract in Hong Kong. You will implement the enterprise governance framework, collaborate with analytics teams, IT, data stewards and domain owners, and ensure data protection and quality across multiple functions.

You will prepare training, manage access controls, and maintain records of data usage and consent. A strong MS BI aptitude and project coordination skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
• Minimum 3 years of proven experience in Data & AI Governance, Data Management or Data Quality initiatives
• Knowledge of Data & AI Governance practices and the business and technology considerations involved in managing enterprise information assets
• Knowledge of data protection approaches
• Knowledge of Business Intelligence tools used for reporting and visualisation
• Understanding of data quality reporting methodologies and capabilities
• Working knowledge of project management and business process review
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different business areas
• A collaborative team player who is curious, meticulous and self-motivated
• A continuous improvement mindset and a proactive approach to embracing and driving change
• Depending on qualifications, experience and skills, the successful candidate may be offered the position of Data Governance Executive

Responsibilities

• Implement the Data & AI Governance framework to enable the appropriate use of analytical data across Customer, Employee, Commercial, Operations and Partnership functions
• Collaborate with analytics teams to execute governance activities and ensure data quality, data protection and adoption requirements meet established standards
• Work with IT to implement quality metrics, improve data accessibility and consistency, and support the readiness of related analytics capabilities
• Engage data stewards and data domain owners to keep the Data & AI Governance framework up to date
• Prepare training materials and deliver training to data stewards and end users on changes to the Data & AI Governance framework
• Evaluate and execute access controls for shared databases
• Perform periodic reviews and validation of user access
• Maintain complete records of agreed data usage purposes and obtained consent
