Job summary

Cathay Pacific Airways Ltd in Hong Kong seeks a Data Analytics and Science Manager to lead the internal analytics team and drive data-driven decision making across the business.

You will translate requirements into scalable solutions on Azure, oversee delivery of analytics projects, govern data models, and mentor technicians while pushing AI and ML initiatives to strengthen digital transformation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Professional certifications in Microsoft Azure Data Analytics, Power BI, or related technologies are advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:

Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in IT, with strong expertise in solution design, project delivery, and system integration.
• Proven ability to develop technology solutions, lead initiatives, and make sound decisions with minimal supervision.
• Strong experience in performing root cause analysis on data, systems, and business processes to identify opportunities for improvement and answer critical business questions.
• Hands-on experience designing and delivering analytics solutions on Microsoft Azure, Azure Databricks, Data Factory,
• Functions, Storage, SQL Database, Synapse Analytics, Data Lake, and Logic Apps.
• Experience in developing and deploying machine learning and AI-driven solutions.
• Exposure to generative AI technologies and custom AI agent development using platforms such as Microsoft GPT, Qwen, Llama, or similar technologies is an advantage.
• Experience in the aviation industry is preferred but not essential.
• Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, and mentoring technical teams.
