Job summary

Leading Bank in Hong Kong seeks a Team Head of Data Governance to lead enterprise data and AI governance, aligning with policies, standards, and architectural guidelines to elevate customer experiences through strategic data usage.

You will manage data governance specialists, build catalog and quality frameworks, shape AI governance, ensure HKMA regulatory alignment, and mentor the team to advance data capabilities across the organization.

Qualifications

• 10 years of financial services data governance experience (3 in management).
• Proven track record designing and overseeing data and AI governance frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of data quality management and data protection.
• Fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
• Comprehensive knowledge of banking business and regulatory landscape.

Responsibilities

• Lead data governance specialists, analysts, and engineers to establish unified data standards.
• Design and execute the enterprise data strategy, including governance, catalog, and quality frameworks.
• Pioneer the bank's AI governance framework and coordinate training with Risk and Architecture teams.
• Apply AI to metadata management and implement data lineage across the data warehouse.
• Steer delivery of Basel reporting, digital customer engagement, and compliance reporting.
• Mentor team members to elevate technical expertise and governance practices.
• Monitor evolving trends in data and AI governance to identify new opportunities.
