Job summary

WeLab is seeking a dynamic Business Development professional in Hong Kong to acquire cross-border e-commerce seller clients, focusing on Amazon and major platforms. You will build long-term relationships, manage full loan lifecycles, and tailor Supply Chain/Trade Finance solutions to support growth while balancing risk and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in corporate client acquisition, B2B sales, or related roles.
• Experience in cross-border e-commerce, Supply Chain Finance, Trade Finance, corporate financial services, international trade, or related B2B industries.
• Familiarity with the Amazon seller ecosystem, cross-border e-commerce industry, or SME financing needs is an advantage.
• Existing customer resources or channel partnerships within relevant industries are preferred.
• Strong customer acquisition, market development, business negotiation, and relationship management capabilities.
• Sound commercial judgment, risk awareness, and the ability to independently drive business opportunities.
• Strong self-motivation, execution capability, and learning agility, with the ability to quickly understand financial products, risk management, and compliance requirements.
• Fluency in Cantonese and Mandarin is required; proficiency in English is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Acquire and develop cross-border e-commerce seller clients, with a focus on Amazon and other major e-commerce platforms.
• Build long-term client relationships by understanding customers’ business models, financing needs, and growth plans.
• Manage the full customer lifecycle, from acquisition, due diligence, and credit application to loan drawdown and post-loan relationship management.
• Analyze customers’ business performance, financial results, and platform operating data, and prepare due diligence reports and business recommendations.
• Design and deliver suitable Supply Chain Finance and Trade Finance solutions while balancing business growth, risk management, and compliance requirements.
• Develop partnerships with seller communities, industry associations, payment service providers, ERP vendors, logistics companies, e-commerce platforms, and other ecosystem partners.
• Participate in customer visits, industry events, exhibitions, and joint marketing initiatives to expand customer channels and identify business opportunities.
• Collect customer feedback and market intelligence to support product enhancement, deepen client relationships, and grow the asset portfolio.
