Job summary

Gravitas-Recruitment-Group is seeking an experienced Credit Risk Manager in Hong Kong. The role involves assessing credit applications and financing proposals, evaluating associated risks, and compiling comprehensive credit assessment reports.

You will help develop and refine credit risk policies to strengthen the bank’s risk controls. The position requires 7+ years in credit risk management, familiarity with Basel III, and fluency in English and Chinese (Cantonese/Mandarin).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in finance, risk or related field.
• CFA/ACCA/CPA/ECF preferred.
• 7+ years in credit risk management and analysis.
• Experience in credit policy development is a plus.
• Familiar with Basel III and banking credit risk concepts.
• Strong analytical and report-writing skills.
• Fluent in English; proficient in Chinese, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Job ResponsibilitiesAssess credit applications and financing proposals, evaluate associated risks, and prepare comprehensive credit assessment reports.Develop and enhance credit risk policies to manage the bank’s credit risk exposure effectively.Support the development of commercial lending, trade finance and other credit products to strengthen the bank’s competitiveness.Job RequirementsBachelor’s degree or above in Risk Management, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Information Systems or a related discipline.Professional qualifications such as CFA, FPM, ACCA, CPA or ECF are preferred.At least 7 years of experience in credit risk management and credit analysis; experience in credit policy development is an advantage.Sound understanding of relevant regulatory requirements, Basel III and banking practices relating to credit risk management.Strong analytical, problem-solving and report-writing skills, with the ability to work independently.Proficient in written English and Chinese, and fluent in spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
