Join a leading regional bank’s Hong Kong branch as Credit Administration Manager, taking ownership of credit documentation, collateral administration and related controls for corporate and commercial lending portfolios. This role suits an experienced credit operations professional who enjoys team leadership, documentation quality, regulatory alignment and close coordination with front office, legal and operations functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the credit administration team to ensure smooth, efficient operations in line with relevant regulations, internal policies and procedural guidelines.
• Manage and monitor the full credit approval administration process, ensuring facility and security documentation are correctly prepared, executed and completed according to bank standards.
• Authorize input of facility limits into systems, control credit files and ensure all documentation is properly organized, up to date and securely maintained, including custody of original facility and security documents.
• Liaise with other departments, branches and external solicitors on credit administration matters such as property mortgages, collateral perfection and legal actions against borrowers.
• Oversee fire insurance on mortgaged properties, company and land searches, credit enquiries and collateral valuation updates, ensuring information remains current and reliable.
• Ensure asset classification and bad‑debt provisions are made in accordance with BOT and HKMA guidelines, and handle ad‑hoc tasks assigned by the Operations Manager.

Requirements

• Degree in Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in credit document preparation and review, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role within banking credit administration or operations.
• Professional qualification under the Enhanced Competency Framework (ECF) on Operational Risk Management (ORM) is preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, with a high sense of responsibility and commitment to accuracy.
• Able to work under pressure, manage multiple deadlines and maintain high documentation and control standards.
• Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese, with solid MS Office skills.
