Job summary

InfoTech Services (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking a Contract Systems Analyst to support DEVB in Admiralty on a two-month assignment, focusing on maintaining and supporting network infrastructure, security systems, and related services in a contract environment.

You will administer network equipment, provide technical support for routers, switches, firewalls, VPN and security monitoring, and assist with procurement and project tasks as required.

Qualifications

• well-versed in H3C network routers and switches configuration
• knowledge and experience in administration of network and security equipment
• possession of Cisco CCNP or H3C CN E certs

Responsibilities

• Administer the operation of network equipment and security devices in data centres
• Provide technical support on the network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, SIEM)
• Provide technical support on Internet services (Internet access and mail exchange)
• Provide technical advices, identify and rectify problems relating to the network infrastructure
• Carry out network reconfiguration in response to change requests
• Responsible for IT related procurement
• Perform over-time work outside office hours occasionally
• Carry out other IT project tasks and IT system maintenance as assigned by ITMU of DEVB(WB)

Project Nature (T26) Maintain and support network infrastructure, Internet services and related network/ security systems.

Duties

Duties - Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the DEVB;

• - Administer the operation of network equipment and security devices in data centres.
• - Provide technical support on the network infrastructure, including network routers, access switches, firewalls, anti-virus system, Metro-Ethernet, Virtual Private Network and Security Information and Event Management System, etc.
• - Provide technical support on the Internet services, including Internet access and Internet mail exchange
• - Provide technical advices, identify and rectify problems relating to the network infrastructure.
• - Carry out network reconfiguration in response to change requests.
• - Responsible for IT related procurement
• - Perform over-time work outside office hours or on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays occasionally; and
• - Carry out any other IT project related tasks and IT system maintenance/support tasks as assigned by ITMU of DEVB(WB).

Requirements

Requirements - well-versed in H3C network routers and switches configuration;

• - knowledge and experience in administration of network and security equipment; and
• - possession of certificate of Cisco Certified Network Professional or H3C Certified Network Engineer

Technical Skills

• . At least 3 years' experience in Anti-Virus Technology (AVT);
• . At least 3 years' experience in Internet/ Intranet (INT);
• . At least 3 years' experience in Router Configuration (ROU);
• . At least 3 years' experience in Virtual Private Network (VPN);
• . 3 years' experience in Server Virtualisation Technology (SVT) is an advantage.

Non-technical Skills

• - At least 5 years' experience in work with the Government (GOV);
• - 3 years' experience in Government procurement/disposal procedures (GPD) is an advantage;
• - 3 years' experience in the management and support of Government systems and services (GSS) is an advantage.
• - Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent;
• - At least 7 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 2 years' relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
