• LLB degree holder with HK solicitor qualification and at least 3 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal support on product development for Prudential, including drafting/reviewing policy provisions and related marketing materials.
• Advise on product design and customer journeys across agencies, brokerage, and digital channels.
• Support BAU matters: draft/ review commercial and reinsurance contracts; contribute to digital platform projects.
• Advise on legal aspects of customer complaints and insurance claims; oversee investigations of agents when needed; manage litigation strategy.

Job Descriptions

1. Provide legal support on product development of Prudential business:

• Independently draft and review insurance policy provisions including all associated marketing documentation and communications.
• Advise on the design of products and sales journeys via all channels including traditional agency, brokerage and digital.

1. Provide advice and support on BAU matters:

• General drafting / reviewing / negotiating commercial and reinsurance contracts.
• Provide legal support on ad hoc projects such as on-going development of digital platforms.
• Advise on the legal aspects of customers’ complaints and insurance claims.
• Advise on investigations of agents and potential impact on Prudential.
• Oversee and manage litigation including reporting and strategizing tactics.

1. Monitor and advise on the legal and regulatory developments in insurance law primarily and all other relevant regulations.
   
2. Provide updates and training on legal developments to staff.
   
3. Provide legal input on relevant regulatory consultation papers.
   
4. Responsible for records management.

Job Requirements

• LLB degree holder and qualified Hong Kong solicitor with at least 3 years’ relevant experience from reputable financial institutions / law firms.
• Good knowledge of HK insurance regulations and industry practice would be an advantage.
• Excellent command of English and Chinese (written and spoken)
