Revamp of Cemeteries and Crematoria Computer System (RCCCS)

Revamp the existing aged CCCS with latest technology for improving the system performance, providing better user interface and experience, and supporting more auto-approval features in operation to reduce department staff manual efforts in processing related applications and improve overall operational efficiency.

Enhancement on Platform for Cemeteries and Crematoria Services (CCSP)

Enhance the e-payment feature interfacing with Government Cloud Infrastructure Services (GCIS) e-Payment Service and Event Booking feature in CCSP, thereby providing citizens with efficient access to department Cemeteries and Crematoria (C&C) services with a 24/7 self-service portal featuring online payment, integrated QR code authentication for arrival, and automated backend processes to minimize administrative workload for department personnel.

Duties:

Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the department;

Assist in system design and analysis;

Produce documentation and conduct user training; and

Provide on-going maintenance support of the systems.

Requirements:

Mandatory technical skills for application support and development using:

Python Programming Language (36 months);

Spring Boot Framework (36 months);

NGINX Web Server (36 months).

Technical Skills:

At least 4 years' experience in J2EE Development (JDE);

At least 4 years' experience in SQL*PLUS/PL/SQL/PRO*C (OPL);

At least 4 years' experience in Structured Query Language (SQL);

At least 4 years' experience in Web 2.0 Services (W2S);

At least 4 years' experience in Web Programming (WEB);

4 years' experience in JBoss Application Server (JAS) is an advantage;

2 years' experience in Java Application Framework (e.g. Struts (Apache)) (JAF) is an advantage.

Non-technical Skills:

4 years' experience in work with the Government (GOV) is an advantage.

Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent;

At least 3 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 1 year's relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.

Proficient in Cantonese and English
