Job summary

InfoTech Services (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking a skilled IT professional to join a government-related project in Hong Kong SAR. The candidate will support the One-stop Platform integration, revamp legacy systems, and implement auto-approval features as part of RCCCS initiatives.

The role requires 4+ years in JBoss, J2EE, SQL, and Java frameworks, with Cantonese and English language proficiency. Office-based, normal hours, with duties spanning design, development, documentation and ongoing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in CS/IT or equivalent.
• At least 4 years' experience with JBoss Application Server and J2EE development.
• Proficient in SQL and Web 2.0 services.
• Experience with Java frameworks (e.g. Struts) and Web programming.

Enhancement on Platform for Cemeteries and Crematoria Services (CCSP)

To enhance the CCSP with integration of Cross-departmental One-stop After Death Services Platform (One-stop Platform) for citizens to utilise comprehensive e-Government services from all related government departments to reduce citizen and the department's staffs manual effort in processing related applications and improve overall operational efficiency.

Revamp of Cemeteries and Crematoria Service (RCCCS)

To revamp the existing aged CCCS with latest technology to support the One-stop Platform through CCSP and implement more auto-approval features in operation to reduce the department's staffs manual effort in processing related applications and improve overall operational efficiency.

Duties:

Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the department;

Assist in system design and analysis;

Develop and test system;

Produce documentation and conduct user training; and

Provide maintenance and on-going support.

Requirements:

Working hours: Normal office hours

Working location: The department's offices in Hong Kong SAR

Language required: Cantonese and English

On call duty: Not required

Technical Skills:

At least 4 years' experience in JBoss Application Server;

At least 4 years' experience in J2EE Development;

At least 4 years' experience in Structured Query Language;

At least 4 years' experience in Web 2.0 Services;

At least 4 years' experience in Web Programming;

At least 2 years' experience in Java Application Framework (e.g. Struts (Apache)).

Non-technical Skill:

At least 4 years' experience in work with the Government.

Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent;

At least 3 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 1 year's relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
