Job summary

Christie’s in Hong Kong seeks a Regional Content Marketing Manager to lead English-language social media across APAC, driving audience engagement, brand awareness, and client acquisition through storytelling and data-driven insights.

You will develop editorial calendars, oversee content production with internal and external partners, and optimize campaigns across platforms like Instagram, Facebook, LINE, and more to reflect Christie’s luxury brand voice.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, Digital Marketing, Art History, Design or related discipline.
  • 5–8 years in content marketing, social media, digital content or related fields.
  • Proven experience managing social media platforms and content production.
  • Experience developing English-language content for luxury, art, fashion, design, lifestyle or premium brands.
  • Experience overseeing video and photography productions.
  • Strong knowledge of social media analytics, reporting and optimization.
  • Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders and managing projects end-to-end.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Christie’s APAC social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, LINE) and other platforms.
  • Develop and execute content strategies and editorial calendars aligned with regional priorities.
  • Create, edit and proofread social content, captions, and video scripts; lead audience-first storytelling.
  • Lead campaigns and content concepts for posts, videos, livestreams, Stories and emerging formats.
  • Coordinate content production with photographers, videographers, designers, agencies and partners.
  • Provide local content support for global campaigns when appropriate.
  • Monitor trends and platform developments; optimize content performance.
  • Analyze performance and translate data into actionable recommendations.
  • Manage external vendors and budgets related to content creation.
  • Present content strategies and campaign reviews to stakeholders.

Regional Content Marketing Manager

The Regional Content Marketing Manager will lead Christie’s English-language social media content across APAC, driving audience engagement, brand awareness, and client acquisition through compelling storytelling, creative content development, and data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Christie’s APAC social media channels, including Instagram, Facebook, LINE, and other relevant platforms.
  • Develop and execute social media content strategies and editorial calendars aligned with business objectives and regional marketing priorities, ensuring all social content reflects Christie’s brand voice and upholds the standards of a global luxury and art market leader.
  • Create, edit, and proofread engaging social media content, campaign messaging, captions, and video scripts. Lead the development of culturally relevant, audience-first storytelling that translates art market expertise, collecting insights, and specialist knowledge into engaging content for social audiences.
  • Conceptualize creative campaigns and generate innovative ideas for social posts, short-form videos, livestreams, Stories, and other emerging content formats.
  • Lead content production projects, working closely with specialists, internal stakeholders, photographers, videographers, designers, agencies, and external partners.
  • Provide local content support for global social media platforms and campaigns where appropriate.
  • Monitor social media trends, audience behaviour, platform developments, and industry best practices to identify new opportunities and optimize content performance.
  • Analyze social media performance across platforms, delivering regular reports, insights, and actionable recommendations. Translate data into content optimization strategies and action plans to improve engagement, audience growth, and brand awareness.
  • Manage external vendors and budgets related to content creation and social media initiatives.
  • Present content strategies, campaign performance reviews, and recommendations to stakeholders.

Key Competencies

  • Excellent English-language writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to create engaging content for diverse audiences. Chinese language skills desirable.
  • Strong creativity and proven ability to develop compelling social media, video, and digital content ideas.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, content trends, audience behaviors, and digital best practices.
  • Strong editorial judgment and instinct for social-first storytelling, particularly on Instagram and emerging content platforms.
  • Excellent visual literacy with an understanding of how copy, design, video, and user experience work together to create impactful content.
  • Familiarity with Canva and/or Figma, with the ability to create simple assets, review creative work, and collaborate effectively with designers.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Outstanding project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working under tight deadlines and during peak seasonal activity.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Commercially minded with the ability to pitch ideas in a structured and compelling manner.

Education / Qualifications / Experience

Essential

  • Degree holder in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, Digital Marketing, Art History, Design, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 to 8 years’ experience in content marketing, social media, digital content, or related fields.
  • Proven experience managing social media platforms and content production. Strong portfolio showcasing content creation, brand storytelling, and audience engagement across digital and social platforms.
  • Proven experience developing English-language content for luxury, art, fashion, design, lifestyle, cultural, or other premium brands.
  • Demonstrated experience developing creative content concepts and overseeing video and photography productions.
  • Strong knowledge of social media analytics, reporting, and content optimization.Experience working with multiple stakeholders and managing projects from concept through execution.

Desirable

  • Experience working within the art market, auction industry, galleries, museums, cultural institutions, or luxury sectors.
  • Working knowledge of Canva and/or Figma.
  • Knowledge of contemporary art, collecting, and the broader cultural landscape in Asia Pacific region.
