Job summary

Chubb Life HK, based in Hong Kong, is seeking an Assistant Manager, Financial Reporting to lead month-end close, journals and reconciliations for statutory and management reporting.

You will support group financial reporting and regulatory submissions to the Insurance Authority, ensuring USGAAP and IFRS compliance while coordinating with auditors and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in insurance accounting and finance.
• Solid knowledge of life insurance-related regulations and reporting standards.
• HKICPA or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance or Accounting.
• Solid experience in people management is highly preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
• Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Participate in month-end closing process including preparation of journals and reconciliation and analysis reports.
• Support group financial reporting and regulatory submission based on the requirements from Insurance Authority, or other regulatory bodies.
• Ensure compliance with all USGAAP reporting, IFRS reporting and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Regular review the design and effectiveness of the internal process and controls.
• Address queries raised by management, regulators, internal stakeholders, and auditors.
• Liaise with cross-function stakeholders throughout the financial reporting process, including group office and shared services center.
• Coordinate with auditors for control testing and audit requests.
• Assist in adopting new or changes in regulatory reporting requirement from regulators, including leading the gap analysis, reviewing & providing feedback in consultation papers, coordinating the execution steps in implementing the changes
• Handle ad-hoc tasks from managers and supervisors
