MTR Corporation Limited 香港鐵路有限公司 is seeking a senior leader to shape enterprise-wide assurance and advisory strategies for project governance. You will lead reviews across project types, act as an independent second-line auditor for internal and contractor projects, and advance enterprise capabilities in project management across the organization.

The role requires a minimum of 15 years in project management with at least 5 years in management, mastery of tools like Primavera, and strong

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering / Engineering Management / Project Management or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 15 years’ relevant experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
  • Experience using project management tools such as project controls, earned value management and risk management.
  • Proven track record delivering mega projects with diverse stakeholders including senior management and government officials.
  • Experience with Primavera, Contruent, Predict! and similar digital tools.
  • Professional qualifications such as NEC4 ECC PM, PMI/Chartered PM are preferred.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management with excellent communication and reporting skills.

Job description

  • Develop and formulate enterprise-wide assurance and advisory strategies, policies and processes to ensure that projects are adequately established, resourced and managed with industry-standard project management governance, capabilities and processes
  • Manage and conduct the reviews on project and programme management across different types of projects to assess project health, ensure compliance and make appropriate recommendations based on well-articulated and evidence-based findings
  • Act as an independent second-line auditor to conduct governance audits, reviews and investigations for internal and external (including contractor) projects to ensure rigorous project management practices are being applied
  • Assess health of discipline and establish enterprise-wide processes and practices to strategically develop technical capability, capacity and social skills with respect to project management across the organization
  • Establish active and effective communication with business units and key stakeholders to address key risks and concerns
  • Manage and develop a team of project and programme professionals to ensure high standard of performance and continuous learning

Requirements
  • Degree in Engineering / Engineering Management / Project Management or a related discipline
  • A minimum of 15 years’ relevant experience, preferably in project management, programme planning, railway or property development, of which 5 years should be at managerial level
  • Experience in the adoption of various project management tools, such as project controls, earned value management and risk management
  • Proven track record in delivering mega projects with high complexity and interaction with different stakeholders including senior management and government officials
  • Experience in applying industry recognised projects, programme and/or portfolio management software and digital tools such as Primavera, Contruent, Predict!
  • Procession of professional qualification such as NEC4 Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC) Project Manager Accreditation, Project Management Professional, Chartered Project Professional, or other relevant qualification is preferred
  • Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills as well as proven communication and report writing skills
