Job summary

Leighton Asia is seeking an experienced Engineering and Program Manager in Hong Kong to oversee the program and engineering management within a construction project. You will plan and supervise sections of work to ensure quality delivery and timely progress.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• 15+ years of relevant project/engineering experience.
• NEC experience is preferable.
• Membership in recognized industry bodies is preferable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Duties:

• Overseeing the program and engineering management
• Planning and supervising of a section of work within a construction project to ensure quality of delivery and progress timelines
• Negotiate technical / commercial terms and conditions with contractors and sub-contractors to optimise operational costs
• Guide subordinate in taking corrective action in case of issues
• Participate in regular design reviews (such as for constructability), understand end-products of Engineering (such as 3-D modelling) and direct project team members to deliver as committed
• Coordinate for senior management engagement on project as needed to manage stakeholder expectations
• Monitoring adherence to safety and environment guidelines and regulations
• Demonstrate workplace SHEQ leadership and team spirit cultivation

Job Requirements:

• Degree holder in Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience
• NEC experience is preferable
• Membership or association to recognized industry bodies or institutes is preferable
• Good communication and interpersonal skill
