Responsibilities

About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong within Mandarin Grill Kitchen in Hong Kong, theChef de Partie is responsible for to assist the Sous Chef with the daily working requirements and the smooth running of the operation and displayed as mandated by the Sous Chef in order to acquire maximum customer satisfaction and profitability. Chef de Partiereports to the Chef de Cusine or Sous Chef.

As Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and sanitation in and around all culinary work areas and clean their stations after every service
• Follow procedure and ensure safe and proper use of equipment at all times and to instruct this to all culinary associates
• Adhere to all the standards of food handling, production, preparation, portioning and presentation

As Chef de Partie, we expect from you:

• 5 years of relevant experience in a similar position, with Fine Dining and Michelin-starred kitchen experience preferred;
• Self-driven, responsible, and detail-oriented with a strong work ethic;
• Independent and able to work under pressure;
• Candidates with less experience will be considered as Junior Chef de Partie.
