Job summary

CANFORNAV LTD is seeking an experienced Chartering Manager to join our Hong Kong team. The role requires a deep network in the chartering community, strong negotiation skills, and a thorough understanding of market dynamics and vessel types.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years in shipping, either as a broker or for a principal, and demonstrate expertise in contract review, risk management, and handling multiple charter negotiations concurrently while ensuring accuracy and timely schedules,

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years in the shipping/chartering industry, either as a broker or for a principal.
• Strong knowledge of charter market dynamics, vessel types, specs and international shipping practices.
• Proven expertise in commercial negotiation, contract review and risk management related to charter agreements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple charter negotiations and schedules.
• Review contracts and manage risk across chartering activities.
• Leverage an established industry network to source opportunities and optimize terms.
• Coordinate with operations teams on schedule integrity and vessel deployments.

About the role
We are seeking experienced chartering manager to join our team in Hong Kong. Strong communication skills and an established network within the industry are prefered .

minimum 7 + years expereince within the industry either as a broker or working for a principal

Strong knowledge of charter market dynamics, vessel types, specifications and international shipping practices

Demonstrated expertise in commercial negotiation, contract review and risk management related to charter agreements

Proven ability to manage multiple charter negotiations and operational schedules simultaneously whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail

Experience working within the Asia-Pacific region, particularly with operations in or around Hong Kong, is highly desirable
