Deutsche Bank AG in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced Operations professional for a new cash equities trading desk. You will manage trade capture, client queries, and ECM IPO activities, with responsibilities spanning post-trade allocations and monitoring during Asia market hours.

The role requires collaboration across teams, strong communication, and a proactive approach to risk management. You will leverage AI tools to enhance workflows while maintaining data integrity and compliance.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in handling Cash Equities.
• Experience and knowledge of ECM and Cash Equity APAC markets.
• Self-motivated to work independently and across teams.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage cash equities trading desk activities and client queries during Asia market hours.
• Support ECM IPO activities and related post-trade allocations and validations.
• Handle trade capture, allocations, and life cycle monitoring including corporate actions.
• Resolve trade exceptions and support client onboarding and extensions.
• Assist with ECM transactions including primary/IPO and secondary offerings.
• Coordinate with traders, sales and IT to improve processes and controls.

Details of the Division and Team: Operations is responsible for driving the planning and the day-to-day management of the business to align with the bank's mission and strategic goals. Operations set the direction and manage performance to bank targets with a focus on continual performance improvement.

Work includes:

• Identifying and prioritizing product and service improvement opportunities and creating plans for implementation
• Utilising comprehensive knowledge of the company's internal operations to develop forward-looking focus for business
• Supporting bank strategy, proactively identifying and managing areas of risk
• Maintaining relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders including regulators, market vendors and internal divisions
• Communicating changes to operational requirements and their impact on relevant processes and controls

Your key responsibilities:

This role is integral to the new trading desk, focusing on cash equity trading, which entails significant booking and client query management during Asia market hours. This role will also be responsible for ECM IPO activities. Daily trade capture, query handling, static setup, and monitoring of trade life cycles, including corporate actions. Trade allocation post-execution, including trader/sales instructions and client amendments. Manual allocations for give-up trades and swaps. Managing trade exceptions, including error trade resolution. Client sub-account /extension setup, assist client onboarding activities. Support ECM activities, including both Primary/ IPO offerings and Secondary transactions such as block trade and placements, provides specialized operational support of ECM business. Exception management, including any operations, client and IT-related issues Reconciliation and control, with investigation and resolution

Your skills and experience:

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in handling Cash Equities
• Previous experience and knowledge of ECM and Cash Equity APAC markets
• Self-motivated to work independently and across the teams
• Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong problem solving and attention to details
• Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
