Job summary

South Island School is seeking a Facilities Manager to support the Business & General Manager in overseeing school facilities and Health & Safety. You will lead the site team and manage outsourced contractors to ensure the campus remains secure, well-maintained, and safe for all users.

Fluency in English and Cantonese, and a proven track record in facilities management are required. This role reports to the BGM and involves budget oversight, tenders, and coordination with ESF FDD.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Building Services, Facilities Management or a related technical subject.
• Proven track record in facilities/property/project management and administration.
• Fluent in English and Cantonese; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversee school facilities operations and lead the site team.
• Manage outsourced contractors to ensure safety, quality and schedules.
• Coordinate with ESF FDD on maintenance programs and audits.
• Monitor performance of external providers (security, cleaning, landscaping, catering).
• Organize and maintain school facilities materials stores and filing systems.
• Manage facilities and improvement projects from planning to handover inspections.
• Administer facilities and administration tenders; manage budgets and procurement.
• Lead Health & Safety oversight and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
