Job summary

Michael Page International (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking a Business Analyst/Business Systems Analyst for our insurance sector client in Kwun Tong, Hong Kong. You will partner with business and IT teams to gather requirements, translate them into functional specs, and ensure effective delivery across the project lifecycle.

The role demands strong stakeholder management, SDLC understanding, and excellent communication in English and Mandarin, with Cantonese a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, BIS or related field.
• Minimum 2–4 years of Business Analyst experience.
• Experience in Financial Services or Healthcare; insurance preferred.
• Strong requirements elicitation, business process analysis and stakeholder management.
• Knowledge of SDLC and project delivery methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand needs and align technology solutions with objectives.
• Gather, analyze, document and manage requirements, translating into clear functional specs for development teams.
• Liaise between business users and IT to ensure effective communication and delivery.
• Support analysis, design, implementation, enhancement and maintenance of business applications and systems.
• Participate in product launches, enhancements, and production support including incident resolution.
• Analyze business processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and customer experience.
• Prepare business cases, cost-benefit analyses and impact assessments for implementations.
• Manage multiple initiatives with timely deliverables and cross-functional collaboration.
• Collaborate across project lifecycle including requirement gathering, UAT, implementation and post-production support.
• Research and analyze complex business and technical issues, providing practical recommendations.
