Job summary

ConnectedGroup is seeking a Business Analyst to drive insurance domain projects with AI integration in Hong Kong. You will gather, document, and prioritize business needs, user stories, and functional specs across underwriting, claims, and policy servicing.

You will evaluate core life insurance platforms, map workflows, and collaborate with business users, developers, and external vendors. UAT, QA, and change management will be part of the role to ensure smooth implementations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
• 2 to 5+ years of business analysis experience in life insurance or financial services.
• Knowledge of insurance product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Requirements Elicitation: Gather, analyze, and document business needs, user stories, and functional specifications from stakeholders across underwriting, claims, and policy servicing.
• System & Process Optimization: Evaluate core life insurance platforms, map workflows, and identify gaps or digital enhancement opportunities.
• Cross-Functional Liaison: Act as the primary communication bridge between business users, technical development teams, and external vendors.
• Testing & Quality Assurance: Coordinate or support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), manage defects, and verify system outputs against baseline business rules.
• Change Management: Guide operational readiness, user training, and post-implementation support.

Core Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
• Experience: 2 to 5+ years of business analysis experience within the life insurance or financial services sector.
• Domain Knowledge: Understanding of the insurance product lifecycle.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies, data analysis tools (SQL, Excel, Power BI), and requirement platforms (JIRA, Confluence).
• Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving capabilities and stakeholder management, often requiring bilingual fluency (e.g., English and Cantonese) in regional hubs.
