Job summary

Ambition is looking for a seasoned Business Analyst to gather and translate complex requirements across business, product, data, and technology teams in a financial services environment.

You will model processes, assess user journeys, and support agile delivery from backlog refinement to UAT. Strong English and Chinese communication skills are required to collaborate with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyse, and document business, functional, non-functional, data, and process requirements by collaborating with business stakeholders, product owners, SMEs, and technology teams.
• Conduct process analysis and user journey assessments to identify operational gaps, business improvement opportunities, and support the design of target-state processes and solutions.
• Prepare and maintain high-quality project documentation, including BRD, user stories, process flows, business rules, acceptance criteria, impact assessments, and requirements traceability matrices.
• Support Agile delivery by facilitating backlog refinement, requirement prioritisation, stakeholder workshops, solution reviews, and ensuring requirements are clear, testable, and aligned with business objectives.
• Coordinate and support UAT, including test planning, test case creation, defect management, solution validation, and business sign-off activities.
• Assist in implementation and change management activities, including training preparation, business readiness, post-deployment support, stakeholder communication, and continuous process improvement initiatives.

Job description

• Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test planning, test case creation, defect management, solution validation, and business sign-off activities.
• Assist in implementation and change management activities, including training preparation, business readiness, post-deployment support, stakeholder communication, and continuous process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related discipline, with at least 3-5 years of Business Analysis experience within financial services or insurance.
• Proven experience in requirements elicitation, process modelling, stakeholder management, solution design support, UAT coordination, and implementation delivery across business and technology teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex business needs into structured, traceable, and testable requirements, user stories, and process documentation.
• Good understanding of insurance operations, digital platforms, system integrations, data flows, APIs, operational processes, and technology delivery methodologies such as Agile or hybrid frameworks.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior business users, project teams, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
• Familiarity with AI-assisted productivity tools and an understanding of Responsible AI principles, including data privacy, information security, transparency, accountability, and ethical use of technology. Professional certifications such as IIBA CBAP/CCBA, PMP, or Scrum Master are advantageous.
